Both schools have fair-sized crowds at the UTSA Convocation Center. Although, it might be an easier drive for the Lady Bulldogs’ fans to come up from McAllen. If the Lady T-birds’ fans had to travel on Loop 1604, I feel sorry for them. There might still be a couple of hundred of Wagner supporters still stuck in traffic. Brutal, I tell you, brutal.
In all honest, Wagner wrapped up the game in this period, McAllen didn’t score until there was 3:33 left in the period. Wagner hadn’t exactly been setting it on fire but still led by 20 at 43-23 with 2:45 left.
Wagner post Amber Roberson is a joy to watch, she’s long and she knows how to use her length on both offense and defense. She calls for the ball with confidence and has a nice spin move. She’s blocked some shots and forced some jump balls without even having to jump. End of the third quarter, Wagner is in front 47-28.
